We are Flooded People UK.

We enable flooded people to support each other and lobby for change.

We are Flooded
People UK.

Flooded people helping each other to protect their homes and communities.

Let's protect our communities

Farm flooding

We believe that flood management is an essential public service and an investment in our future. When homes, businesses, and roads aren't safe, communities cannot grow and thrive.

Flooded people should be at the centre of the changes we make.

What needs to happen

Home flooded

No one should have more than a 1% chance of flooding annually. This achievable goal is supported by the National Infrastructure Commission.

To get there, we want to see those who cause flooding contribute to managing it. New levies are needed to spread the burden equally.

And a robust public emergency management service is needed to support vulnerable people.

How we work

We put flooded people at the centre of everything we do.

There is too much need and not enough government support. Until there is, flooded people are going to help each other as best they can, building a national voice to influence change.

Flooded People UK is already starting to facilitate shared help and shared learning.

Our plan for change

We want flooded people to work together and build coalitions for safe, dry, and thriving communities.

We work to evolve the UK's cross-party consensus on flooding. When change happens, whether after a flood or during a moment of planning, we want to be at the core of it.
